Greetings Parents and Guardians,
I’d like to welcome you back to another year of learning and growth for you and your child at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School.  In this mailing, you will find the school calendar, your child’s classroom assignment and an instructional schedule which details the daily activities from their assigned teacher.  School starts for students on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.  Students must be prepared to receive instruction by 8:15 AM.  This year, we will begin school using the electronic devices which were distributed throughout the summer to district students.  It is important that you monitor your child’s learning throughout this virtual learning process.  Your child’s class and teacher information is located on the envelope which contained this letter.     Please contact the main office for any additional information or assistance.  We have staff fluent in Haitian Kreyol and Spanish available to support your respective language needs.  I look forward to working with you this year.

Greetings Parents and Guardians,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome all of our students and families back to an adventurous new academic year.  This year, we are starting school remotely, using the electronic devices distributed by the AP school district.  I’ve created a checklist to support you as we transition back to school:

TMES Parent checklist

Parents can confirm student classroom assignment by contacting the main office at (732) 776-2660 between the time of 8:45 AM-11:30 AM
Students must have a class code to participate in the online learning activities.  Class codes are also assigned by the school and can be shared with the confirmed parent or guardian by contacting the school.
Electronic devices can be obtained at the school on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 between 1-2:15 PM

Tomorrow, we will follow a half-day schedule.  School will begin at 8:30 for students and end at 12:30 PM, which means students must also log off at that time.  Parents, please establish systems at home to monitor your child’s learning.  This will facilitate the learning process for students.

We thank you for your cooperation during this time of transition.  Please feel free to reach out to me with any concerns at the fore-mentioned number.  At TMES, we also have Haitian Kreyol and Spanish-speaking persons on staff to assist with translation.
